Working history before joining Botany Bay Nurseries, Plant Centre & Wildlife Shop

I worked at WJ Findons in Stratford for 11 yrs growing bedding plants and also attended Morton Morrell College on an apprenticeship scheme. In 1997 I joined Botany Bay Nurseries, Plant Centre & Wildlife Shop as a delivery driver and worked my way up to become Managing Director in 2006.

Brief job role at Botany Bay Nurseries, Plant Centre & Wildlife Shop

As well as overseeing the commercial side of Botany Bay Nurseries, I oversee the day to day running of the Plant centre & Wildlife Shop. I’m the shrub, perennial and sundries buyer, and i'm hands on with the merchandising of products.

Myself!

I enjoy life to the full, I like spending time with my beautiful wife Abby, adorable son Theo and black Labrador Sky. I'm an outdoor kind of guy, particulary if i'm shooting a great round of golf. Equally happy on the sofa watching ANY sport on TV, much to Abby's dismay!

Working history before joining Botany Bay Nurseries, Plant Centre & Wildlife Shop

This is my second time at Botany Bay Plant Centre & Wildlife Shop. In 2004 I left to join the army but unfortunately this career was short lived due to injury. Botany Bay couldn’t keep me away for long when I rejoined in 2007!

Brief job role at Botany Bay Plant Centre & Wildlife Shop

I have several key roles within our commercial nursery at Botany Bay including Sales Representative and Despatch Coordinator.  During the autumn I travel around the UK, meeting customers to discuss their previous year and putting together orders for the following year.

During the rest of the year I organise and coordinate our commercial despatch department, which includes responsibility for drivers schedules and ensuring the right orders go to the right customers at the right time! I also help out in the Plant Centre during peak times of the year.

Myself

I would say I am hard working but loads of fun – but I guess you’d have to ask my colleagues about the last bit! I enjoy spending time with lovely wife Helen, new born daughter Alivia and our dog Oscar
